Forming electrically conductive regions on diamond

Description

A diamond, particularly a diamond suitable for the detection, counting or otherwise measuring of nuclear radiation, which has at least two spaced masses of an alloy bonded thereto. The alloy has a melting point of less than 1 2000C, is gold-based and contains a minor amount of a carbide-forming metal such as tantalum. The preferred melting point of the alloy is in the range 900 to 1 1500C
