Quality assurance in diagnostic X-ray devices

Diagnostic X-Ray devices have to be operated according to the latest state of technology, i.e. they must be adapted continuously to the requirements as given by the appropriate rules and regulations. Whereas, however, continuance had been protected up to now for older equipment, from last year an all radiological devices must be refitted before the next regular performance check by the supervisory authorities. The article explains the meaning of this new ordinance in detail form the viewpoint of the technical inspectorate. (orig.)
