Double-THETA vacuum structure and the functional integral in the Schwinger model
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Yadernykh Issledovanij
Description
The double-THETA vacuum structure of the Schwinger model is established in the framework of the pseudo-Euclidean functional integral method. The fermion number superionization is found to be connected with the existence of a zero fermion mode in a background gauge field with nontrivial asymptotics. The relation between the pseudo-Euclidean approach and Euclidean one is described. (orig.)
