On the statistical evaluation of inconsistent measurement results illustrated on the example of the 90Sr half-life

Description

The problem how to make an objective evaluation of inconsistent numerical observations made by different authors or laboratories on the same physical quantity is dealt with. The problem is treated in a practical way in the light of the example on the half-life of 90Sr, and it is to some extent a response to a document by Gray (1985) on the same topic
