10 years of computerized tomography reviewed
Description
The history and some highlights of computerized tomography are reviewed. The various technologies employed in the course of CT development are described along with the limitations that led to their disappearance. The problems still to be solved in medicine, the increasing influence of nuclear magnetic resonance, and some scientific aspects have opened up new lines of development which are briefly mentioned. Der Beitrag schildert Weg und Wegmarken der Computertomographie. Dabei wird aufgezeigt, wie Technologien bis zu ihrer Grenze fuer diese neue diagnostische Hilfsmittel eingesetzt werden. Erlaeuterung finden Tendenzen der Weiterentwicklung im Hinblick auf offene Wuensche der Medizin und der beginnende Einfluss der magnetischen Kernresonanz darueber hinaus kommen wirtschaftliche Gesichtspunkte zur Sprache.
