Theory of transition rates in few-electron ions

Description
The energies and wave functions of the lithiumlike systems are calculated with a full-core plus correlation method. Relativistic and QED corrections to the energies are considered. These energies and wave functions are used to compute the transition rates and lifetimes. The accuracy of the non-relativistic wave functions in this work is investigated by comparing the oscillator strength results from the dipole-length, -velocity and -acceleration formulas. For many transitions, the results from the length and velocity formulas agree to about four or five digits. The results from this work are compared with other theoretical and experimental data in the literature
