Contact Expert Group – Project Summary 60: UK9 Dismantling of one Victor III Class nuclear submarine
Description
The UK project for dismantlement of a Russian nuclear submarine at the Nerpa shipyard. The spent nuclear fuel has been unloaded and transferred to the Mayak plant. After dismantlement, the remaining three-compartment reactor unit has been transferred to Saida Bay for storage.
