Positronium beam technology

Description

A newly constructed magnetically-guided positron beamline is described and investigations of positronium (Ps) interactions are reported. Using a timed beam and a double cell arrangement, the first direct measurements of Ps-Ar total cross sections have been made at intermediate energies. Preliminary results are presented. (orig.)
