Description
This paper deals with the prediction of downcomer coolant temperature transients in the presence of stratification in the cold leg due to high pressure injection. Such thermal stratification is obtained at low (and zero) loop flow and it is not represented in the system codes (TRAC, RELAP5) currently used to simulate transients with pressurized thermal shock (PTS) potential
