Combustion of solid and liquid radioactive wastes, outlook for development

Description

Operating characteristics and experimental findings of plant for combustion of radioactive wastes on SPU Radon and Kalinin NPP were considered. Their advantages and disadvantages were discussed. Application of the pit furnaces with plasmatronion sources of heat and production of the end product as fused slag were considered. This type pilot plant was designed. High-temperature method for, ash residual processing in melter of the cold, crucible type with high-resistant melted products was developed. 3 figs.; 1 tab
