On the possibility of charged particle acceleration in the magnetospheric tail

Description
The response on critical notes of one of the preceeding authors is given. Advisability of detailed and not only averaged consideration of magnetospheric particle dynamics is demonstrated. In particular, the effect of pitch-angular scattering, occurring without changing in the velocity module of a particle in every event, on the growth of the average energy of particles captured in an one-dimensional neutral layer is considered
