Description
The main sources of the systematic errors of in situ radiotracer adsorption techniques are reviewed. Based on the equations elaborated for the 'foil' method, an estimation of the systematic errors is also attempted. Moreover, difficulties in the reproduction of surface excess values occuring upon an extension of the detection limit are revealed, giving confutation of an inapplicable concept. The experimental part of the present work is focused on the radiotracer study of the potential- and pH-dependence of HSO4-/SO42- adsorption on polycristalline gold. (author) 18 refs.; 8 figs.; 1 tab
