Optimisation of chemical parameters for the preparation of UO2 microspheres by H-process [Paper No. CT-22]
- 1. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay (India). Radiochemistry Div.
Description
Studies have been carried out to optimise chemical parameters for making UO2 microspheres using internal gelation method. Concentrations for uranium nitrate solution was varied between 0.7 to 1.5 M and urea and hexamine between 1.4 to 1.8 M and good UO2 microspheres could be produced in a wide range of concentrations.
