Capillary detectors in LHC-B

Description
The option to build the LHC-B microvertex detector making use of glass capillary arrays filled with liquid scintillator is presented. The principle and advantages of this technique are described. The status of the development of capillary layers and possible readout techniques are reported. Physics performances are discussed. (orig.)
