New realizations of heat storage by melted materials

New achievements have been developed in the Thermal Transfer Department of the CEA at the Grenoble Nuclear Study Centre, concerning the storage of heat as latent fusion heat when a solid state body passes to the liquid state. Hence a thermal accumulator using soda as accumulation material was made as well as another device using a lithium fluoride - lithium hydroxide eutectic which equips submarine machines and divers' equipment

De nouvelles realisations ont ete mises au point au Service des Transferts Thermiques du CEA, au Centre d'Etudes Nucleaires de Grenoble, concernant le stockage de la chaleur sous forme de chaleur latente de fusion lors du passage d'un corps de l'etat solide a l'etat liquide. Ainsi un accumulateur thermique utilisant la sonde comme materiau d'accumulation a ete realise ainsi qu'un autre dispositif utilisant un eutectique fluorure de lithium - hydroxyde de lithium qui equipe des engins sous-marins et des equipements de plongeursAdditional details
