Description

The effectiveness of cooling of heat-producing high-level radioactive waste in a dry, ventilated storage building, in which the investigated with computer simulations of the temperature for normal operation conditions and for fault situations. The calculations have been performed in two steps. In the first step the complete storage building including inlet channels and chimney has been modelled. In the second step very detailed calculations have been performed with regard to the separate containment cylinders and fission-material elements.
