Description

J-PARC, Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex, is an accelerator facility under construction in Japan. It consists of the linear accelerator, the 3-GeV synchrotron, the 50-GeV synchrotron, and experimental facilities. The Phase-1 construction started in Japanese Fiscal Year (JFY) 2001, and will complete in JFY 2008. At the 50-GeV facilities (the Hadron Hall and the Neutrino Beamline), wide variety of possibilities in nuclear and particle physics can be expected
