On the constitution of uranium-cobalt-nickel-aluminium alloys
Description
Based on differential thermal analysis, light microscopic studies, quantitative structure analysis and X-ray phase analysis, the partial system U-UAl2-UNi-UCo2 has been investigated. Besides the binary systems U-UCo2, U-UNi and U-UAl2 as well as the ternary boundary systems U-UNi2-UCo2 and U-UNi2-UAl2, the quaternary concentration cut between the laves phases UAl2, UNi2 and UCo2 is of special interest. Mit Hilfe von Differentialthermoanalysen, lichtmikroskopischen Untersuchungen, quantitativer Gefuegeanalyse und roentgenographischer Phasenanalyse wurde das Teilsystem U-UAl2-UNi2-UCo2 untersucht. Neben den binaeren Systemen U-UCo2, U-UNi2 und U-UAl2 sowie den ternaeren Randsystemen U-UNi2-UCo2 und U-UNi2-UAl2 galt das besondere Interesse dem quaternaeren Konzentrationsschnitt zwischen den Lavesphasen UAl2, UNi2 und UCo2.
