Computerised control of superconducting cyclotron
- 1. Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Bidhannagar, Kolkata (India)
Description
The ongoing computerised control system for the upcoming superconducting cyclotron follows a distributed architecture. The goals of the control system are to provide an environment to the operator, of a synergistic view of the cyclotron subsystems for efficient supervisory control, to reduce the cabling from control room to various subsystem, to modularize functionality based on the geographic as well as logical separation of controllable entity and also to keep itself open ended in terms of scalability and technology adaptability
