Sorption of Eu, Hf, Nb and Nb on Hexacyanoferrates (II) of Transition Metals from inorganic acid solutions

  • 1. H. Niewodniczanski Institute of Nuclear Physics, Cracow (Poland)

Description

Sorption coefficients of Eu, Hf, Zr and Nb on hexacyanoferrate (II) of transition metals (MnNF) from inorganic acids solutions were determined. Obtained results indicate that europium in mineral acid solutions form cationic complexes which absorb on the examined ion exchangers. Highest values of sorption coefficients of Eu on examined hexacyanoferrate (II) of transition metals were observed for lower concentration of mineral acids. The results indicate that Eu, Hf, Zr and Nb are differently sorbed on hexacyanoferrate (II) nickelum (NiNF) in 1M HCl. The Presented data suggest that NiNF could be applied for separation Hf and Zr from Eu and Nb. (author)
