Formation of color centers in ZrO2 powders in pressing and subsequent irradiation

Description
Effect of all-round compression of ZrO2 powders on formation of absorption centers under pressing was studied. It was established that pressing resulted to occurrence of F-centers, Zr3+ ions and free electrons and favoured the increase of efficiency of defect formation during successive irradiation
