The relaxed triplet state of the 1,2,4,5,-tetracyanobenzene-benzene complex

Description
The triplet state of the tetracyanobenzene-benzene complex has been produced by pulse radiolysis. The observation of a triplet energy transfer equilibrium between this complex and benzophenone has established a relaxed triplet energy of 65.5 +- 0.15 kcal mol-1 for the complex. This shows that relaxation from the Franck-Condon state is negligible. (author)
