Effect of isotope substitution on magnetic properties of manganites (La1-yPry)0.7Ca0.3MnO3

Description
The unique peculiarities of perovskite structured manganites were largely estimated by electron-phonon interaction. Strong isotope effect is primarily dependent on this interaction. The essential changes in the magnetic structure of the (La1-yPry)0.7Ca0.3MnO3 system, phase diagram and its modification as a result of the oxygen isotopic exchange are discussed. The transfer properties were shown to be efficiently changed in the (La1-yPry)0.7Ca0.3MnO3 system during the isotope substitution 16O - 18O. At the concentration y=0.75 the oxygen isotope substitution gave rise to the low temperature metal-isolator transition
Abstract (Russian)
Уникальные особенности поведения манганитов со структурой перовскита в значительной мере определяются электрон-фононным взаимодействием. Наиболее характерным проявлением роли этого взаимодействия является сильный изотоп-эффект. Обсуждаются существенные изменения в магнитной структуре системы (La1-yPry)0.7Ca0.3MnO3, фазовая диаграмма и ее модификация в результате кислородного изотопического обмена. Было обнаружено, что в системе (La1-yPry)0.7Ca0.3MnO3 при изотопическом замещении 16O - 18O радикальным образом меняются транспортные свойства. При концентрации y=0.75 кислородное изотопическое замещение привело к низкотемпературному переходу металл-изоляторFiles
