Description
The efficacy of computed tomography (CT) and pelvic angiography (P. A. G.) in defining the extent of local tumor invasion was studied in 35 patients with surgically proven carcinoma of the bladder. CT staging was compared to pathological staging and the accuracy rates were calculated for both. Accuracy of CT was 82 % in T1 and 83 % in T2. Accuracy of P. A. G. was 81 % in T1 and T2 and 63 % in T3. CT and P. A. G. are considered to be useful procedures for the staging of bladder cancer. (author)
