Description

The methods and experiences for packaging, transport and possibilities for interim storage of unconditioned wastes are described. After the waste treatment and immobilization, it is packaged for transport and final disposal following the requirements of the IAEA transport regulations and national regulations. The characteristics of some common types of containe and shielding systems, and some techniques for interim storage of conditioned wastes, are presented. (Author)

Descrevem-se os metodos e experiencias para, empacotamento, transporte e possibilidades para armazenamento temporario de rejeitos sem condicionamento. Apos o tratamento e imobilizacao os rejeitos sao embalados para transporte e disposicao final, seguindo os requisitos dos regulamentos de transporte de IAEA e dos regulamentos nacionais. As caracteristicas de alguns tipos comuns de contencao e sistemas de blindagem, e algumas tecnicas para armazenamento temporario dos rejeitos condicionados sao apresentados. (M.C.K.)
