Aqueous solutions of colloidal nickel: radiation-chemical preparation, optical spectra and properties
Description
Radiation-chemical reduction of Ni2+ ions in aqueous solutions of Ni(ClO4)2, containing HCOONa or isopropanol has been studied. It is found that stable solutions of colloidal nickel are formed in the presence of stabilizers (polyethyleneimine, polyacrylate, polyvinylsulphate or polyvinyl alcohol) upon gamma-irradiation of deaerated solutions. Metal sols are spherical particles, 2-4 nm in diameter. Aqueous solution of colloidal nickel has optical absorption band at 215±5 nm and shoulder at about 350 nm. The radiation-chemical reduction of Ni2+ ions includes the reaction with hydrated electrodes and organic radicals

Изучено радиационно-химическое восстановление ионов Ni2+ в водных растворах Ni(ClO4)2, содержащих формиат натрия или изопропиловый спирт. Установлено, что при гамма-облучении деаэрированных растворов в присутствии полиэтиленимина, полиакрилата или поливинилсульфата возникают устойчивые золи металла, содержащие сферические частицы диаметром 2-4 нм. В спектре оптического поглощения наночастиц никеля наблюдается полоса с максимумом при 215±5 нм и плечо 350 нм.
