Creators

Description

Only those nuclear physics experiments, which were carried out using (a) 3.7 MeV neutrons, (b) 14.8 MeV neutrons and (c) thermal protons, using reactors which were published in about ten publications are described in the article. This covers a certain range of energies, in neutron physics, in a period from 1953-2011 - a span of more than fifty years. Though the sequence and the type of experiments were carried out were determined by the circumstances of the availability of the accelerators and reactors; it has covered the full range of nuclear reaction models., i.e. (i) Optical potential model, (ii) Inelastic scattering model, (iii) Compound nucleus model, and (iv) Pre-equilibrium model
