Information supporting Nuclear Electric's application for authorisation to dispose of radioactive waste
Description
This note presents information supporting the application to dispose of radioactive waste at Sizewell B. Nuclear Electric's proposals for the values of the discharge limits that should be included in the authorisations are given. The potential radiation doses to the public from discharges within these limits are shown to be small. It is explained that the design and operation of the radwaste processing facilities will ensure that best practicable means will be used to reduce the radioactivity in discharges to levels that are as low as reasonably practicable below the limits.
