Creators

Description
The review describes the properties of detector materials used in the electron-photon calorimetry: scintillators, Cherenkov radiators and appropriate light detectors, and dielectrics for ionization chambers. The physical parameters (density, radiation length, Molier radius, etc.) of the active media of the calorimeters are presented. Scintillator characteristics (emission spectrum, light yield, luminescence decay time, etc.) are discussed, as well as temperature and radiation effects
