According to 'Oil market Report' of IEA (March, 1999), total world petroleum demand in 1998 showed controlled increase at later half to become 73.80 MB/D (0.5% increase in comparison with that of last year) which corresponded to about 0.4 MB/D increase in comparison with that of last year in 1998. And, total world petroleum supply in 1997 was 75.30 MB/D, which corresponded to about 0.90 MB/D increase (1.2% increase in comparison with that of last year). Here was described in tables and figures on present state of energy demand and supply, trends on promotion and research of application technology on energy resources, trends on promotion and research of energy conversion technology, and environment.
