Description
The United States expects to be providing borosilicate glass waste forms from its high level nuclear reprocessing wastes at Savannah River and West Valley before the year 1990. There is also a large and convincing volume of U.S. and international data to demonstrate that these waste forms will have very low releases in geologic disposal, should meet U.S. regulatory requirements, and can be successfully quality controlled. Research on high-level waste forms is still continuing. (orig./PW)
