HBK project high temperature reactor fuel cycle. TRISO Particle Failure Statistics. Technical Note
Description
The generic irradiation testing of UO2 fuels in phase I of the HBK qualification program yields the following result: At the 95 % confidence level, irradiation induced particle failure fractions can take any value between zero and 1.4 x 10-5, when particle failure is defined by the complete breach of the coating leading to gas release.
