Dosimetry intercomparisons and protocol for heavy charged particle therapy beams

The American Association of Physicists, under the authority of it's Radiation Therapy Committee, has established a Task Group (20) to conduct intercomparisons of absorbed dose at heavy charged particle radiotherapy facilities and to establish a protocol for the dosimetry of heavy charged particle therapy beam. This paper reports the activities and accomplishments of the Task Group to date
