Description
Based on audits and on proposals of good practices, a first document presents the discontinuous dry methanization process: history, technical principle, description of the different technologies (covered silos, pool pits, garages, box), biological principle (bacterial populations, bacteria circulation, heating and operating temperature), benefits and drawbacks. Then, it describes how to think a project (size, power, scale economy, inputs, digestion characteristics, biogas valorisation type), how to design it (unit components, evolution perspective, regulatory issues for the different aspects of the project), how to build it (regulation, insurance), how to start it (tests, adjustments), how to adjust it (rationing mix, length of stay), how to exploit it (rationing control method, maintenance operations, safety of interventions). The second document proposes a synthetic overview of the situation of agricultural discontinuous dry methanization in Burgundy: justification of this technology, brief description of the technique, available technologies, factors of success for a project, an example with a synthesis of its main results (technical, biological, economic, energy and environmental assessments)
