Electric and crystallographic characterizations of pyrochlore type phases Nd/sub 2-y/Cu/sub y/Ru/sub 2/O/sub 7-y/

Description
Pyrochlore type phases Nd/sub 2-y/Cu/sub y/Ru/sub 2/O/sub 7-y/ have been synthesized up to y = 0,375. A metallic behavior is observed when Cu replaces Nd(rho = 6 10/sup -4/ to 9 10/sup -4/ Ω cm at room temperature). The presence of copper in these phases has been confirmed by X-ray fluorescence analysis. A single crystal structural refinement shows that the maximum possible value of y is 0.375
