Pairing correlations in nearmagic atomic nuclei and nucleon-phonon interaction

Description
The nucleon pairing is shown to be entirely due to finiteness of atomic nuclei. For nuclei of the ''mag ±2'' and ''mag ±3'' type a method is developed which takes into account retarding interaction in the particle-particle channel connected with phonon exchange. It is shown that the nucleon-phonon interaction calculated with account of most collective branches of surface oscillations provides correct attraction, which is needed to describe pairing. Thus, a deeper analogy between superconductivity of metals and Cooper pairing of nucleons in atomic nuclei is demonstrated
