Description

Description is given of a fuel-assembly supporting-rod for nuclear reactor grids, comprising a hollow cylindrical body, integral with the grid and passing through the upper part thereof so as to receive a fuel-assembly leg vertically supported by the grid, and a removable sleeve mounted in a head coaxially extending said hollow body, the sleeve comprising a sealing conical bearing surface for centering the assembly. Said supporting-rod is characterized in that the removable sleeve and the supporting-rod head are mutually engaged and made integral with each other by a removable welded connection arranged in an annular zone coaxial with the sleeve. This can be applied to fast nuclear reactors

Abstract (French)

On decrit une chandelle support d'assemblage combustible pour sommier de reacteur nucleaire, comportant un corps cylindrique creux, solidaire du sommier et traversant celui-ci a sa partie superieure pour recevoir un pied d'assemblage combustible supporte verticalement par le sommier, et une douille amovible montee dans une tete prolongeant coaxialement le corps creux, cette douille comprenant une portee conique d'etancheite et de centrage de l'assemblage. Cette chandelle se caracterise en ce que la douille amovible et la tete du corps de chandelle sont emboitees mutuellement et rendues solidaires par une liaison soudee demontable, menagee selon une zone annulaire, coaxiale a la douille. Ceci est applicable aux reacteurs nucleaires a neutrons rapides
