Relativistic ab initio calculations of the collisional-excitation cross sections of medium-heavy to heavy ions by means of R-matrix procedures

Description

In the present thesis a program for the calculation of the collision strengths of medium-heavy to heavy ions basing on the R-matrix method was developed. For this the four-component close-coupling equations were solved, which result, when the many-electron wave functions are constructed from solutions of the one-electron Dirac equation
