Description
The charge distribution of residual nuclei from 46Sc upto sup(92m)Nb at spallation of 93Nb by bremsstrahlung photons with Esub(γmax)=4.5 GeV was investigated. The identification and determination of residual nucleus yields were determined by means of registration of the activity with Ge(Li) semiconductor detector. Studying the isobar charge dispersion and comparing the obtained data with results of hadronic nuclear reactions one is able to elucidate some regularities of the nuclear spallation as well as to predict the production probability of yields of the residual nuclei which are difficult to be measured by means of the activation methods. To estimate the reaction yield quantitatively a five-parameter Rudstam formula was used. The nature and properties of isobaric and mass yields were discussed and compared with calculations of the two-step cascade-evaporation model
