Opacification of the upper gastrointestinal tract for computerized tomography with a lipid-emulsion of negative density

Description
Tumoral processes in the stomach wall can be better defined by the CT after peroral administration of negatively contrasting oil-in-water emulsions. In addition, demarcation of extragastric structures in adjacent areas is much easier. Commercially available preparations have been found to achieve the desired effect without any clinical problems arising. (orig.)

Mittels peroraler Applikation von negativ kontrastierenden Oel-/Wasseremulsionen koennen tumoroese Prozesse der Magenwand computertomographisch besser demarkiert werden. Darueber hinaus werden in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft gelegene extragastrale Strukturen leichter abgrenzbar. Kommerziell verfuegbare Praeparate gewaehrleisten einen problemlosen klinischen Einsatz.
