Hadronization as extinction in a two-mode continuous parameter branching process

Description
A continuous evolution equation for branching and extinction is studied. The interpretation of extinction as hadronization leads to a model with original features, such as maxima and minima in the normalized multiplicity moments (local KNO scaling). Satisfactory fits to high energy data are presented
