[C-11]-carazolol: A new labeled beta-adrenergic ligand

  • 1. University Hospitals of Cleveland, OH (United States)
  • 2. Case-Western Reserve Univ., Cleveland, OH (United States)

Description

The authors have prepared carbon-11 labelled carazolol, a high affinity ligand with a slow rate of dissociation from the receptor, for use in in vivo studies of beta-adrenergic receptors. Both the labelling process and preliminary biodistribution studies in mice are discussed. The in vivo data indicate a sufficient uptake of the compound for use in PET imaging
