Description
The data of charmonium/bottonium suppressions in p-A collisions are analyzed by considering the shadowing effect of the gluon structure function at small x, the absorption in the target nuclei and the energy degradation of the produced c anti c pairs. The A-and x2-dependences of the suppression in p-A collisions are well described based on above physical considerations. The J/ψ suppression data in A-A collisions are also analyzed based on these mechanisms. (orig.). With 9 figs
