A study was made on dynamics of ferromagnetic nickel accumulation during redox treatment (ROT) of ZrNiH2.8 hydride. Model for calculating hydrogen quantity in the hydride after ROT, as well as oxide layer thickness, using the data of magnetic measurements, is suggested
