Evaluation of transport correction in fast reactor core calculations
- 1. Osaka Univ., Suita (Japan). Faculty of Engineering
Description
We have investigated the dependence of the transport correction for the keff value upon used energy groups in fast breeder reactor core calculations by comparing the few-group and the multi-group calculations. Two cores were examined; radially heterogeneous core ZPPR-13A and homogeneous core ZPPR-9. It was confirmed that the dependence of the transport correction upon energy groups is relatively small enough to neglect in both types of core, and the conventional nuclear calculation procedure utilized in fast breeder reactor design is valid.
