Description

We have developed a method for the histochemical detection of cysteine desulfhydrase in the vitellin sac of the chicken embryo. The enzyme is localized in the presence of a lead salt by lead sulphide formed in situ from hydrogen sulphide liberated from the cysteine. The micrographs obtained are histological and show the presence of the enzyme in the different types of endoderm cell. (authors)

Abstract (French)

Nous avons mis au point une methode qui permet la detection histochimique de la cysteine desulfhydrase du sac vitellin de l'embryon de poulet. L'enzyme est localise en presence d'un sel de plomb par le sulfure de plomb forme in situ a partir de l'hydrogene sulfure libere de la cysteine. Les images obtenues sont histologiques et permettent la mise en evidence de l'enzyme dans les differents types de cellules de l'endoderme. (auteurs)
