Storage container for radioactive wastes

Description

Tightness, shock resistance and corrosion resistance of containers for storage of radioactive wastes it obtained by complete fabrication with concrete reinforced with metal fibers. This material is used for molding the cask, the cover and the joint connecting both parts. Dovetail grooves are provided on the cask and the cover for the closure

Abstract (French)

Pour garantir une bonne etancheite et une bonne resistance aux chocs et a la corrosion, sans accroitre leur cout, des conteneurs de stockage de dechets radioactifs sont realises en totalite en beton renforce par des fibres metalliques. Ce materiau est utilise pour realiser par moulage un fut et un couvercle, ainsi qu'un joint de clavage par lequel le couvercle est fixe sur le fut. Des rainures de clavage en queue d'aronde formees sur le fut et sur le couvercle facilitent le clavage
