Determination of carbon activity in austenite

Description

Technique, enabling to determine activity and other thermodynamic characteristics of a component in introduction solid solution only on the basis of state diagram data, was developed. Equation, characterizing the dependence of carbon activity in austenite on temperature and solid solution composition was derived. Results of calculation with the use of derived equation agree well with data, obtained experimentally and with the use of known formulae
