Study on the correlation between PM2.5 aerosols and the concentration of radon progenies
- 1. Engineering Research Center of Nuclear Technology Application, Ministry of Education, East China University of Technology, Nanchang (China)
Description
In this paper, the correlation between the concentration of aerosol and the concentration of radon was studied. The effects of different PM2.5 aerosol concentrations on the counting of 218Po and 214Po were studied based on the solid particles produced by cigarette combustion as aerosol vectors of radon. The results show that the total number of 218Po and 214Po increases with the increase of the concentration of aerosol in PM2.5, which reaches the maximum when the PM2.5 concentration is 309 μg/m3.
