Health responses typology to the introduction of a high-voltage power line
Creators
Description
The installation of a new high-voltage power line in the Netherlands provided an opportunity for a prospective field study to examine the health responses of the local population. This analysis of the subgroup of people living closest to the line identified and characterized five classes of subjects based on trends over time in their beliefs of how harmful the construction might be. This news is based on the following article: Porsius J, Claassen L, Woudenberg F, Smid T, Timmermans D. 'These power lines make me ill': a typology of residents' health responses to a new high-voltage power line. Risk Analysis 2017 [Epub ahead of print]. doi: 10.1111/risa.12786
